Norman Noe

Norman completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University in Civil Engineering in the Spring of 2016. He is currently a masters student at The Ohio State University primarily focused on Structural Engineering studying the reliability of steel beam-column connections in moment frames when susceptible to a column removal scenario.  The main objective of his research is to model and analyze common moment frame connections utilized in progressive collapse design and classify the benefit of each connection using a simulation based reliability assessment. Furthermore, his research will aim to aid the decision-making process when selecting steel moment frame connections for buildings designed against progressive collapse.
